Green building is a “buzz word” that many builders use to attract business these days.  So What makes re-construction different?  We apply the simple concept of reduce, reuse and recycle. 

Reduction of waste materials makes good green sense and good financial sense.  We formulate a custom site plan for each job that manages waste. Starting with precise material ordering, exacting building practices and scrap material usage we achieve about a 1/3 reduction in waste over a traditionally constructed home.  We are experts in the use of engineered lumber products.  Engineered lumber uses about half the total raw wood of traditional dimensional lumber.  Plus engineered lumber is made from sustainable farmed younger, smaller trees. 

Reuse of materials.  Using reclaimed materials is one of the ways in which re-construction builds truly green homes.  We acquire reclaimed materials from many sources, including our own in house team of deconstruction specialists.

Recycled and sustainably produced materials are used when and where reclaimed materials are unavailable.
